The Backpackers is located on The Chateau Tanunda estate in beautiful Tanunda, the heart of the Barossa Valley. Wine country explorers can settle into a range of room types that vary from private rooms to family rooms perfect for anyone wanting comfortable, clean and affordable accommodation. There are over 80 cellar doors in the Barossa, with plenty of opportunities to taste the vino and perhaps stock up on a few bottles of Shiraz or Cabernet from the famous Chateau Tanunda range (the Local specialities). We highly recommend hiring a bike and cycling your way around the Barossa Valley with bike hire available at an affordable price. To complete a day of touring the Barossa, take advantage of relaxing in our outside entertaining area and watching the sunset fall alongside Chateau Tanunda’s historic estate.
